Sauget, IL - All-Star field managers Steve Brook and Mike Kashirsky have announced their selections to start the Frontier League All-Star Game, presented by Mercy, on Wednesday evening. River City's Zach Sterner will start for the West Division, with Washington's Casey Barnes starting for the East.

Zach Sterner enters the All-Star break tied for second in the Frontier League in wins with six and third with his 2.24 ERA. Sterner has made ten starts for River City this season and allowed more than one earned run in only three of them. He was a 17th round draft pick of the Philadelphia Phillies in 2007 and spent parts of four seasons in their organization.

Casey Barnes leads the Frontier League with his 1.58 ERA, which is over a half-run better than the next qualifier. He has a 3-3 record, including a two-hit shutout of the Gateway Grizzlies in his last outing. Barnes is making his professional debut this season after graduating from Kansas Wesleyan University in 2010. He was a two-time All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference selection for the Coyotes while leading them to the NAIA national tournament all four years.

The 2011 Frontier League All-Star Game, presented by Mercy, will take place at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio, home of the Lake Erie Crushers.
