
Rio Grande Valley Evens NBA D-League Finals With Game 2 Win At Iowa

DES MOINES, IOWA, April 27, 2011 - Jerel McNeal scored a game-high 37 points, adding nine rebounds and eight assists to lead the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to a 141-122 win at Iowa in Game 2 of the NBA Development League Finals in front of a record crowd of 14,036 at Wells Fargo Arena. The Energy and the Vipers will meet again in Iowa at 8 p.m. ET on Fri., April 29, in a deciding Game 3.
The Energy was led by Curtis Stinson, the NBA D-League MVP, who had a triple-double - his second in two Finals games - with 24 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Moses Ehambe scored 33 points for Iowa, while Michael Haynes added 24 points.
Richard Roby scored 28 points for the defending-champion Vipers, who were facing elimination in the best-of-three series after dropping Game 1 on Sunday. Mouhammad Faye had 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Patrick Sullivan had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Friday's Game 3 will tip at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised nationally on VERSUS.
