
Bighorns' Season Ends with 134-126 Overtime Loss to Vipers

RENO, Nev. - Marcus Landry's season-high 35 points were not enough for Reno Wednesday night, as Rio Grande Valley rallied for a 134-126 series-clinching overtime win in the Reno Events Center.
After leading for most of the game, the 'Horns took a 119-111 lead into the final two minutes of regulation. But the Vipers ended regulation on a 10-2 run to force overtime, highlighted by two Jerel McNeal free throws that tied the game with 2.2 seconds on the clock. Rio Grande Valley outscored the 'Horns 13-5 in the extra period to earn the win and its second-straight trip to the NBA Development League finals.
Landry notched 35 points on 12-23 shooting, adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Donald Sloan scored 21 points and dished out nine assists, while Anthony Richardson and Bobby Simmons chipped in with 16 points apiece. The two teams combined to shoot 98 free throws, with Reno going 37-51 from the stripe and RGV countering with a 36-47 effort from the line.
Rio Grande Valley's Jerel McNeal paced the Vipers with 35, and Terrel Harris added 27 off the bench. McNeal made just eight field goals, but finished 18-20 from the free throw line on the evening.
