NEW JERSEY NETS ASSIGN BEN UZOH TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE SPRINGFIELD ARMOR
New Jersey Nets guard Ben Uzoh was assigned to the Springfield Armor, the Nets' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the 46th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Uzoh, a rookie out of Tulsa. Uzoh is the 33rd NBA player to be assigned this season, marking a new all-time high. The previous record for individual NBA players to be assigned to the NBA D-League in a season was 32 set in 2008-09. Uzoh (6-3, 205) has appeared in 32 games with the Nets this season, averaging 3.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 9.1 minutes. In a four-year career at Tulsa, Uzoh carried averages of 13.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists over 141 games.
ERIE'S MITCHELL, SIOUX FALLS' EWING JR. NAMED NBA D-LEAGUE CO-PERFORMERS OF THE WEEK
Tasmin Mitchell of the Erie BayHawks and Patrick Ewing Jr. of the Sioux Falls Skyforce were today named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played during the week of March 7. Mitchell, a 6-7, 245-pound forward out of LSU who was in training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers, led Erie to a 2-1 record on the week, averaging 23.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals. Ewing Jr., a 6-8, 235-pound forward out of Georgetown who was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft, led Sioux Falls to a 2-1 record last week, averaging 20.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

Patrick Ewing Jr. scored a game-high 24 points to go with a game-high team rebounds to lead Sioux Falls past Rio Grande Valley. Chris McCray added 15 points and five assists for the Skyforce. Jon Scheyer had 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Vipers.
Kevin Kruger scored 31 points and Brandon Costner added 28 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Utah in a win over Tulsa. Jerome Dyson led Tulsa with 20 points. Elijah Millsap had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the 66ers.

30 players with NBA D-League experience competed in nine NBA games last night, five as a starter.
Utah's C.J. Miles started and scored 19 points in a win over Philadelphia.
Philadelphia's Lou Williams scored 22 points off the bench in a loss to Utah.
Houston's Chuck Hayes started and tallied 21 points and nine rebounds in a win over Phoenix.
