GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS ASSIGN JEREMY LIN TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE RENO BIGHORNS
Golden State Warriors guard Jeremy Lin was assigned to the Reno Bighorns, the Warriors' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced yesterday. The assignment marks the 23rd time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Lin, a rookie out of Harvard. Lin (6-3, 200) has appeared in 17 games this season for Golden State, averaging 1.9 points in 8.5 minutes. In the 2010 NBA Summer League, Lin averaged 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in five games with the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors signed Lin as an undrafted free agent in July. In four years at Harvard, Lin averaged 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He became the first player in Ivy League history to record 1,450 points, 450 rebounds, 400 assists and 200 steals, and was one of 11 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award as a senior.

Cleveland Cavaliers assignee Christian Eyenga scored 21 points, and fellow Cavs assignee Samardo Samuels added 17 for Erie in a win over Dakota. Vernon Hamilton led Dakota with 18 points.
Jamar Smith made six three pointers en route to a team-high 20 points as Maine defeated Springfield. Tiny Gallon added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Red Claws. Jerry Smith led Springfield with 26 points, while JamesOn Curry added 20 points.
Four players topped the 20-point mark for Iowa, led by 24 from Othyus Jeffers as the Energy defeated Fort Wayne. Courtney Sims, Curtis Stinson and Chris Lofton each added 22 points for Iowa. Jeffers also snatched a game-high 14 rebounds. Walker Russell had 15 points and 10 assists for Fort Wayne.
Marcus Landry led six Bighorns in double figures with 19 points in a win over Tulsa. Jeremy Lin, on assignment from Golden State and making his D-League debut, scored 10 points for Reno. Latavious Williams led Tulsa with 17 points.
Trey Johnson scored a game-high 27 points to lead Bakersfield past New Mexico. Kenny Taylor added 18 points for the Jam. Shane Edwards had a double-double for New Mexico with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Toronto's Ed Davis scored a career-high 17 points in a win over Dallas.
