The assignment marks the fifth time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Davis, a rookie out of North Carolina. He will be placed on Toronto's inactive list, but will remain on the team's roster. The Raptors chose Davis, 21, with the 13th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.
