Reno Bighorns News Release

RENO, Nev.- The Reno Bighorns, who hold the first overall pick in the upcoming NBA Development League Draft, will celebrate with a draft party at Tamarack Junction Casino on Monday, November 1, at 3:30 p.m.

The party will be held in Sully's Sports Bar inside Tamarack Junction, with food and drink specials available throughout the party. Bighorns head coach Eric Musselman will speak to the crowd about his choice immediately following his first selection at 4 p.m.

Last season, Reno drafted USC's Desmon Farmer with its first round pick (eighth overall), while the Albuquerque Thunderbirds drafted F Carlos Powell with the first overall pick. Farmer would average 23.7 ppg for Reno during the 09-10 season, leading the Bighorns to their first-ever playoff berth.

The draft will feature a serpentine format, which means that the team with the last pick of the first round will have the first pick of the second round, and so forth throughout the eight-round draft. The Bighorns will have the first, 32nd, 33rd, 64th, 65th, 96th, 97th and 128th picks in the draft.

The Bighorns begin their third season on Saturday, Nov. 20, at home against the Utah Flash. The game is expected to sell out, so fans are encouraged to get their tickets in advance.

Reno Bighorns 2010-11 full- and partial-season tickets are available now by calling the Bighorns front office at (775) 284-2NBA, and additional information is available at RenoBighorns.com.
