Evansville IceMen News Release

EVANSVILLE, IN.--- Set to embark on a new frontier with the combined forces of the IHL/CHL "Super League" for the rapidly-approaching 2010-11 season, the Evansville IceMen will set sail on their newly-created Central Hockey League maiden voyage with a brand new partner alongside them with the forging of an all-new radio place to call home for all of their exciting game broadcasts as well as Monday night radio show and daily update report. It will be the most total, complete radio presentation in the franchise brief history.

On this date, the Evansville IceMen and BLS Entertainment INC have jointly announced the completion of a one-year contract deal that will make Evansville's WEOA-AM 1400 the new radio flagship home for all of the IceMen live play-by-play game broadcasts. Moreover, also included in the new contractual agreement, will be an IceMen daily report, "The IceMen Hockey Update," as well as the IceMen's own Monday night hockey show, "IceMen Live."

For the upcoming 2010-11 CHL "Super League" season, all games played by the Evansville IceMen, pre-season, regular season and playoff games, home and away, in their entirety, will be aired with all of the play-by-play action on WEOA-AM 1400. All IceMen game broadcasts will consist of a one-half hour Pre-Game Show as well as "IceMen Star of the Game Show," which will follow all home game originations and the IceMen Post Game Show with the latter program being featured after all IceMen games.

WEOA-AM 1400 President/General Manager Ed Lander expressed much enthusiasm and support of the IceMen organization and the new agreement solidified between the two parties. "We are excited to be the flagship station for the defending league champions Evansville IceMen and to offer their many, many loyal fans a top quality radio broadcast. Last year's success of the franchise and recent move to the IHL/CHL `Super League' makes this an excellent time to be entering into a partnership with the IceMen organization. Terry "Fic" Ficorelli has been great to work with and I certainly see this as a win-win for both parties, as well as for the Evansville IceMen passionate fans. Being hometown owners, it just makes sense to be affiliated with Evansville's premiere professional hockey team. In addition, WEOA will be offering streaming live on-line for all of the IceMen radio broadcasts and Monday night radio show."

The IceMen' official game broadcasts' debut on WEOA-AM 1400 will be their pre-season opening contest on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8TH when they travel to Independence, Missouri to launch a two-game series in as many nights against CHL Turner Division rivals, the Missouri Mavericks. The second game in the set is set for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9TH Opening face-off for both games is set for 7:00 pm CDT with broadcast time both nights on WEOA-AM 1400 being 6:30 pm. When the IceMen cap the brief pre-season docket, MONDAY, OCTOBER 11TH with their lone home appearance at Swonder Ice Arena against the Mississippi RiverKings, WEOA-AM 1400 will also be on the air with Evansville CHL "Super League" action with game time 7:05 pm and broadcast time set for 6:35 pm.

The first-ever regular season broadcast on WEOA-AM 1400 will be SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16TH from Dayton where the IceMen will tackle the Gems in a 6:30 pm CDT date with broadcast time at 6:00 pm.

The IceMen Vice President Communications/Broadcasting, Terry Ficorelli lauded the new radio/marketing partnership with BLS Entertainment INC and WEOA-AM 1400. "We are thrilled to be associated with such a first class, professional organization as BLS Entertainment. WEOA radio comes with the history of Evansville as one of the city's premiere pioneers. It was the first radio station to ever go on the air here in this market and has remained with a constant, prominent presence in the community when one discusses the import and impact of media in the city where the IceMen play. It would seem so apropos that the IceMen's first full-fledged radio presentation package be with Ed on WEOA, the home of the Evansville IceMen! Our many great, loyal fans now have a home to `tune-up and tune-in' to their favorite pro team."

Also included as a major part of this new IceMen radio programming agreement is the introduction of the IceMen very own weekly Monday night radio show. "IceMen Live" will be presented every Monday night during the pro hockey season and on monthly Monday nights during the off-season, live, on WEOA-AM 1400. The program will air Monday nights for two-full hours from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on remote location with the site of the show to be announced in the near future by the IceMen organization. "IceMen Live" will be performed in front of a live studio audience, featuring IceMen players, coaches and team personnel as special guests with lots of prize giveaways and plenty of interaction and total fun.

To complete the IceMen's full radio presentation package for 2010-11 on WEOA-AM 1400 will be a daily report, "The IceMen Hockey Update" which will air Monday through Friday at 4:20 pm beginning MONDAY, OCTOBER 4TH. The report will be presented throughout the season with the central theme of the program being, "stay up to date everyday even when there is not a game."

As part of the IceMen overall broadcast presentation, all of the IceMen game broadcasts as well as the Monday night "IceMen Live" show and the "IceMen Hockey Update" daily report will be heard on the world-wide internet through both the IceMen web-site of www.evansvilleicemen.com or through the all-new WEOA-AM 1400 web-site to be announced shortly.
