
BayBears Honoring 9/11 Before Saturday's Home Playoff Game

MOBILE, Ala. - On Saturday night at 7:05, the Mobile BayBears will host the Jacksonville Suns in game three of the South Division Championship Series at Hank Aaron Stadium with an opportunity to play for the 2010 Southern League Championship.
The BayBears will pay tribute to the heroes and memories of September 11 and our Military with the United States Army Ground Forces Band performing pre-game from 5:30-6:30 and conducting the National Anthem. The U.S. Army will also provide a Flag Color Guard, a Rifle detail for a 21-gun salute and set up a memorial on the pitcher's mound for those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.
Additionally, the BayBears will honor and recognize our World War II Veterans with an on-field tribute. The Mobile Fire Department will display their giant American Flag in center field, and the U.S. Coast Guard will provide a flyover right before first pitch.
Following the contest on Saturday, there will be an on-field swearing in ceremony for new members joining the U.S. Army along with a musical Tribute to the Military while all of the veterans in attendance will be invited down to the field.
