
Reno Bighorns Tryouts Set for August 28

RENO, Nev.- Head Coach Eric Musselman and the Reno Bighorns will hold open tryouts for the 2010-11 season on Saturday, August 28, at the Golden State Warriors practice facility in Oakland, beginning at 9 a.m., the organization announced today.
The tryouts will be held at the Oakland Convention Center, practice facility of the Golden State Warriors. Participation will be limited to the first 120 players, and there will be a $150 non-refundable registration fee for all athletes.
Musselman, former head coach of the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, will lead the tryout camp. He will be assisted by former NBA assistant and NCAA Division I head coach Ed Schilling. Also joining the camp will be Richard Morton, who played with the Indiana Pacers and coached the ABA's San Francisco Pilots. Rounding out the staff for the 2010-11 Bighorns tryout camp is Phil Handy, a former player with the Golden State Warriors.
Players must pre-register for the tryouts by filling out a registration form and sending a check or money order for $150 to the Reno Bighorns office. The Bighorns begin their third season on Saturday, Nov. 20, at home against the Utah Flash. The Bighorns look to build on a successful 2009-10 campaign, which saw them earn the first playoff berth in franchise history.
