
Paradis to Rocket; Casavant to Cataractes

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, August 9, 2010 - The Shawinigan Cataractes and the P.E.I. Rocket made waves today with a significant move.
The Cataractes sent winger Philippe Paradis (91-01-02), defenseman Jean-Laurence Beauchemin (91-02-19), a seventh round pick in 2011 and a second round pick in 2012 to the Rocket for forwards Benjamin Casavant (91-01-21) and Danny Potvin (92-03-11) along with fourth and fifth round selections in 2011.
Paradis, a first round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, registered 24 goals and 20 assists in 63 games last season while Casavant, a seventh round pick of the Washington Capitals in the same draft class, recorded 32 goals and 24 helpers in 60 contests.
