Tampa Bay Storm defeat Alabama Vipers, 53-29

Tampa Bay - The Tampa Bay Storm defeated the Alabama Vipers,53-29, in front of 15,685 fans at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla. After going scoreless in the first quarter, the Storm went on a 33-0 run. The Vipers wouldn't score until 7:33 mark of the third quarter. Storm QB Brett Dietz finished the game 19-of-29 for 240 yards and three passing touchdowns.

The Storm found the end zone three times on the ground with Eric Ortiz (two rushing touchdowns) and Terrence Royal (one rushing touchdown).

Hank Edwards led Storm receivers with 88-yards and one touchdown. Alabama featured two quarterbacks in the game. After filling in for quarterback Tony Colston in the second half, Jeffrey Mroz went 6-12 with 44-yards and a touchdown. Vipers fullback Dan Alexander tallied two touchdowns and 74-rushing yards.
