
Red Sox Pitchers Buchholz and Beckett to Rehab in Syracuse

Syracuse, NY--The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate for the Washington Nationals, announce that pitchers Clay Buchholz and Josh Beckett are scheduled to start at Alliance Bank Stadium during the upcoming series between the Chiefs and the Pawtucket Red Sox. Buchholz is scheduled to start on Friday night while Beckett is slated to take the hill on Saturday. Each game is a 7:00 start.
Beckett, rehabbing a back injury, is scheduled to make his second straight appearance against the Chiefs. He went four innings and allowed one run on two hits at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket on Sunday.
Buchholz, on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring, is 10-4 with a 2.45 ERA in 15 starts with Boston this season. He has won seven of his last eight decisions in the Majors.
