Ice Defenseman Commits to College

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- The Indiana Ice announced today that defenseman Adam Phillips has committed to play Division 1 college hockey for the University of Massachusetts Minutemen starting this fall.
The 6-6 defenseman contributed 12 points (G, 11A) in 47 games during his only USHL season with the club. He also appeared in nine playoff contests.
He will compete next year in the Hockey East Association and will do battle against 09-10 teammates Anthony Bitetto (Northeastern) and Kevin Goumas (New Hampshire). He joins a UMass club that also features former Ice forwards T.J. Syner and Brian Keane.
