Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings are proud to announce that they have renewed their affiliation agreement with the Manitoba Moose for the 2010-11 season.

This will be the fifth year for the partnership between the teams. The original affiliation was signed on July 18, 2006.

Salmon Kings' General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Morrison, worked along side Manitoba's Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Craig Heisinger, on the affiliation agreement. Morrison and Heisinger will work in conjunction along with their management, scouting and coaching staffs in the development of future National Hockey League and American Hockey League players.

"We are extremely happy to be renewing our partnership with Manitoba," Morrison said. "The Moose's success and professionalism has made them one of the elite franchises in all of sports, and we continue to model our organization in their image. This strategy has played a large role in our continued success and growth on-and-off the ice."

Manitoba has loaned many players to the Salmon Kings throughout the five year affiliation including Dylan Yeo, Matt Kelly, Olivier Labelle, Scott Howes, Adam Keefe, Travis Ramsey and Todd Ford,

"After the tremendous success we have had with the Salmon Kings, we are looking forward to once again working with Mark Morrison and the rest of the organization in 2010-11," said Craig Heisinger, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the Moose. "The Salmon Kings have done a great job of providing young players and they have the same type of atmosphere that we strive to provide here in Winnipeg with the Moose, so it is a great fit."

"We continue to aggressively pursue success and our partnerships with Manitoba is a vital element towards reaching our goal," Salmon Kings President Dave Dakers said. "The relationship with the Moose has been beneficial for both organizations over the past four seasons. We look forward to the continued success of both organizations as we move into the future."
