Florida's Reid Suspended, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that Florida defenseman Elgin Reid has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #522 against Kalamazoo on Feb. 20.

Reid was assessed a Match Penalty for slew-footing at 6:44 of the second period.

Reid is automatically suspended for one game and fined under Rule #21.1 - Match Penalty.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Reid will miss Florida's game against South Carolina on Feb. 27.
