HUNTSVILLE, AL -- For the second time in three nights, Nick Klaren had two goals including the overtime winner as the Mississippi Surge defeated the Huntsville Havoc on Saturday night.

After a scoreless first period, Huntsville grabbed the lead in the second period when Mike MacDonald batted a loose puck past Mississippi netminder Bill Zaniboni at the seven minute mark of the second period. At 12:24, Chris Meyers knocked home the rebound of B.J. Radovich's shot for a power-play goal and a 2-0 Havoc lead.

Mississippi battled hard through the third period, and drew within one when Tim Velemirovich won an offensive-zone faceoff back to Nick Klaren, who blasted a shot from the left wing past Huntsville goaltender Dan McWhinnie at 18:03 of the third. With Zaniboni on the bench for an extra attacker, the Surge drew the contest even at two-apiece when Matthew Larke's centering pass from the right wing corner bounced off McWhinnie and a Huntsville defender and into the net with just 22 seconds left in regulation time.

After Chris Greene fire from the right wing and missed the net on an odd-man rush, Greene broke down the ice two-on-one with Nick Klaren. Klaren took the pass from Greene and after a quick double-clutch rifled a shot past McWhinnie's glove for the overtime winner.

Mississippi was 0-for-11 on the power-play, and Bill Zaniboni made 50 saves to earn the win for the Surge.
