Reno Bighorns News Release

RENO, Nev.- Desmon Farmer notched the third triple-double in Bighorns franchise history Sunday afternoon, propelling Reno to a 109-88 victory over the Bakersfield Jam in the Reno Events Center.

Farmer finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, becoming the first Bighorn to collect a triple-double this season. Along the way, Farmer moved into third place on the NBA Development League's all-time career scoring list.

Reno (3-3) jumped out to a commanding lead in the first period and never looked back, turning a 17-point halftime lead into a 26-point advantage through three quarters. Bakersfield (0-7) outscored the Bighorns in the fourth quarter, but the effort would fall short.

Justin Hawkins led five Bakersfield players in double figures with 20 points and two blocks. Jeremy Wise scored 17 off the bench, and Tyrelle Blair pulled down 13 rebounds.

For Reno, Russell Robinson led the scoring with 21 points, including five three-point field goals. Marcus Hubbard enjoyed his best day as a Bighorn, netting 19 points with a game-high 18 rebounds, a new franchise record.

The Bighorns and Jam will hook-up again on Tuesday night in the Reno Events Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. PST. On Tuesday, the Bighorns will partner with the United States Marine Corps for a Toys for Tots event. The first 150 people donating an unwrapped toy at Tuesday's game will receive one complimentary lift ticket to Sugar Bowl.

Tickets are on-sale now at www.RenoBighorns.com, the Reno Events Center Box Office, Silver Legacy Box Office, or by visiting any Northern Nevada Ticketmaster location or Web site.
