Lancaster JetHawks News Release
(LANCASTER, CA) -The Lancaster JetHawks Holiday Caravan will be making its way around the Antelope Valley Thursday afternoon. Kaboom and JetHawks front office staff will be handing out gifts and candy canes to children at the AV Hospital Pediatrics Ward and Desert Christian School and will help distribute food to families in need this holiday season at Grace Resource Center.
The Holiday Caravan's first stop will be from 9:30am-10:30am at Antelope Valley Hospital. KB and staff will be giving away gifts to children who may be spending the holidays in the hospital. Gifts include action figures, stuffed animals, skateboards and DVDs just to name a few. The gifts were all donated by the Lancaster JetHawks Booster Club.
From there the caravan will head over to Grace Resource Center from 12:30pm-1:30pm to help distribute food to families in need this holiday season. JetHawks fans are encouraged to come out and help KB and staff work hard to help provide for those less fortunate in the Antelope Valley.
Finally from 3:30pm-4pm the Caravan will set up camp at Desert Christian School to hand out candy canes to students and get them excited about next seasons scholastic incentives at the Hangar, including the JetHawks Reading Challenge.
The 2010 season marks the 15th anniversary of professional baseball in the Antelope Valley, and since its inaugural game in 1996, The Hangar has produced more than 90 Major Leaguers and inducted 25 members into The JetHawks Hall of Fame. Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of 15 years of Hangar Heroes in 2010.
