Utah's O'Keefe Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Mitch O'Keefe of the Utah Grizzlies is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 16-22.

The 25 year old started three games in three nights against Las Vegas and was 3-0-0 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of.957. He stopped all 21 shots in a 4-0 win on Nov. 20 and had 23 saves in a 5-1 win before turning aside 23 shots in a 3-2 win on Nov. 22.

In his last seven starts, O'Keefe is 7-0-0 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 1.57 and a save percentage of.936. He is 7-1-0 and tied for the league lead with two shutouts while ranking second with seven wins and a goals-against average of 2.03.

He played in the ECHL as a rookie and was 16-12-2 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 3.16 and a save percentage of.888 in 31 games for Elmira while also playing in the American Hockey League where he was 0-1-0 with a goals-against average of 2.10 and a save percentage of.943 in six games for Binghamton.

Runners Up: Danny Taylor, Gwinnett (2-0-0, 2.00 GAA,.948 save pct.) and Richard Bachman, Idaho (2-0-0, 1.95 GAA,.928 save pct.).
