
Shawinigan Leads The Pack In Attendance Hikes

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, November 5, 2009 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today revealed its first attendance report of the season and the statistics show that five teams registered hikes in their figures. The highest jumps in attendance occurred in Shawinigan (+ 864) Victoriaville (+ 277), Drummondville (+ 127) and Moncton (+ 101). Of note, overall attendance is down slightly from last season (-3.9%).
At the current pace, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League should once again draw just over two million fans.
Finally, the Drummondville Voltigeurs (90,748) and the Shawinigan Cataractes (95,999) could establish new attendance records.
