This Weekend At Landon Arena - Roadrunner Hockey

The Topeka RoadRunners will be hosting a weekend of events as they take on Albert Lea Thunder in a 3 game series, beginning with a "Pink in the Rink Breast Cancer Awareness Night" on Thursday October 22.

A silent auction will start Thursday, featuring specialty jersey's worn by players. The auction will end after Friday night's game. A portion of the proceeds will be donated locally to "Race Against Breast Cancer". Team owner Barb Stone is committed to fight for a cure, "My family has been advocates for Breast Cancer Awareness in Atlanta for many years and we are excited to be able to unite the RoadRunners' and their fans to raise money locally." Thursday's game is also Family Fun Night, with $1.00 hot dogs, free parking, and 2-for-1 tickets in their new Club Level, featuring in seat waitress service.

The weekend continues with an Parent's/Appreciation Night on Friday and a Costume Contest on Saturday. All fans are encouraged to dress in costume for Saturday's game and a parade with candy will take place for kids 12 and under. Adults can enter a costume contest by donating a dollar to "Race Against Breast Cancer." A special prize will be awarded to the winner of the adult contest.
