B-Sens Fall To Sound Tigers In Overtime

BRIDGEPORT, C.T. - The Binghamton Senators travelled to Bridgeport for a matinee contest with the Atlantic Division's Sound Tigers.

Despite holding the lead in the game twice, the B-Sens ultimately fell to the Sound Tigers at the hands of a familiar face. Greg Mauldin's second goal of the game, at 2:10 of overtime helped propel Bridgeport to a 3-2 victory.

Binghamton got on the board first just over a minute into the second period, as Brian Lee netted his first goal of the season. Denis Hamel and Drew Bannister registered assists.

At 4:52 of the period, Mauldin's first goal knotted the score up 1-1. Just 30 seconds later, the B-Sens regained the lead as Ryan Keller hit the net with his third goal of the season. Hamel earned his second point of the night, assisting Keller's goal.

In the third period, Bridgeport's Trevor Smith scored the lone goal, tying the score and sending the game into overtime.

The Binghamton Senators return to the ice at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena this Friday, Oct. 16 as they face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
