Quebec starting pitcher Eric Gagne turned in a sensational performance in leading the Capitales to a 5-1 victory over the Worcester Tornadoes in game three of the league championship series. Gagne tossed a complete game en route to his first win of the postseason. He allowed only one earned run on six hits with a walk and eight strikeouts. Capitales LF Alex Nunez went 3-for-4 with a RBI while CF Goef Tomlinson had a 2-for-5 night with a run scored and two RBI. For Worcester in the losing effort, C Yohanny Valera went 2-for-3 and drove in the Tornadoes only run of the night. With the win, the Capitales now lead the series, 2-1. They can wrap up the title on Friday night with a victory in game four.
