
Eagles Defeat Pittsburgh 3-1

The Charlotte Eagles (7-5-7) come away with a much needed 3 points after out scoring the Riverhounds 3-1. A decisive win helps secure Eagles' life for play-offs.
After an incredible start by the Riverhounds (5-10-4), Justin Hughes finding the back of the net in the first minute of play, the Eagles regrouped and took control of the game.
Ben Page answered first in the sixth minute from a pass by Diego Martins. Dustin Swinehart did not waste any time as he found the back of the net in minute twelve from Diego's second assist of the night.
Though the Riverhounds were able to outshoot the Eagles 10-6 in the first half the Eagles were able to maintain a 2-1 lead into half time.
The Eagles worked hard to control most of the second half, outshooting Pittsburgh 9-6. Amurey Nunes sealed the deal with the third goal in the fifty-ninth minute after receiving a cross from Jorge Hererra.
The Eagles were able to maintain the 3-1 lead through the final whistle.
The Eagles last home game will be August 15th at 7 PM EST at Charlotte Christian Stadium. All Eagles' campers are reminded to wear their camp shirts to the game to get in free.
