Charlotte Eagles News Release

After an impressive show Friday night against Real Maryland the Eagles were able to add one point to help their cause against Crystal Palace Baltimore Saturday night. Thunderstorms interrupted the match on a number of occasions delaying the 0-0 outcome.

Neither team had any real opportunities in the first thirty-five minutes of play before the first rain delay hit.

The last ten minutes of the first half resumed after an hour delay which resulted in Baltimore applying pressure to the Eagles' defense. The Eagles back four were able to hold their line and the half ended scoreless.

The second half began with Crystal Palace pressuring hard but after a quick nine minutes of play the rain intruded again causing another hour delay.

The match was able to resume and though Crystal Palace out shot the Eagles and were able to create more opportunities the Eagles held strong and gained a much needed point to keep them in fourth Place above Real Maryland and Crystal Palace, tied for fifth.

The Eagles last home game will be August 15th at 7 PM EST at Charlotte Christian Stadium.
