Rainmen Sign Reggie George And Release Kevin Hammack

(Halifax, N.S.) Owner of the Halifax Rainmen Andre Levingston announced today the signing of power forward/centre, Reggie George from Chicago.

The 6'10", 230lbs, 24-year-old played last year in Mexico for the Potros where he averaged 18.5 points per game, and also he suited up for the PBL Rockford Fury last season where is pulled in an average of 15 ppg.

"Reggie is a good shot blocker and will help us on the boards. He will give us that length we need in the paint," said Levingston.

George attended Robert Morris University in 2006 where he averaged 13.3 ppg.

Levingston also announced today the release of point guard Kevin Hammack. "Kevin just wasn't as productive as we needed him to be," said Levingston. "We need to go in a different direction and have players who can help us immediately. We wish him luck with his future."

George arrives in Halifax tonight.
