Boston Cannons Announce 2009 Schedule

BOSTON, MA - Thursday, February 19, 2009 - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) today released their 12-game, 2009 season schedule, Cannons Vice President and General Manager Mark Kastrud announced. The Cannons will play six games at their home venue of Harvard Stadium in 2009, along with six games on the road.
For the second consecutive season, the Cannons 2009 season schedule features a highly-anticipated home game on Friday, May 22 at Harvard Stadium to kick-off the Memorial Day weekend college lacrosse championship tournament, held locally at Gillette Stadium.
"We are thrilled to be able to highlight our season schedule with a home game at Harvard Stadium on the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend, the eve of the college championships, for the second consecutive year," said Kastrud. "We had one of our biggest crowds on hand for that game last season, and we're excited to give lacrosse fans from all over the country another opportunity to experience the action-packed excitement that Cannons fans have come to enjoy for the past eight years."
The Cannons will open the 2009 season when they square-off against the Long Island Lizards at Harvard Stadium on May 16, as the first of the Cannons' six home games this season. The Cannons remaining five home games will be played at Harvard Stadium on May 22, June 13, June 25, July 18 and August 6.

Season tickets to see the Cannons this summer at Harvard Stadium are on sale now with packages starting at $108 when ordered by February 27, 2009.
