Montreal Impact News Release
The Montreal Impact will organize Holiday clinics on December 22 and 23, at the Honco Soccer Complex, in Levis. During these sessions, young soccer players will have the opportunity to learn and play with the Montreal Impact, under the supervision and advice of Impact captain Mauro Biello.
New this year, Impact goalkeeper coach Youssef Dahha will be on site to provide specific clinics for goalkeepers. Impact head coach John Limniatis and assistant-coach Marc Dos Santos, will also be on site to hold seminars for coaches from the Quebec region.
"This clinic has become a tradition during the Holidays," said Mauro Biello. "Our clinics allow us to work closely with the kids, in a fun and stimulating environment. Regardless of their level of play, we offer the same exercises we perform during our practices with the Impact."
"The presence of Youssef, John and Marc completes the training we receive from the Impact. We are happy to benefit from their experience again this year," said Danny Poirier, from Le Club de soccer des Rivières de Québec, which organizes the activity.
The clinics are open to any player aged 7 to 16. They offer work stations, with exercises aimed at improving technical skills. There will be a match simulation after every session. Participants will be grouped by age and level of play, while the coaching seminars are open to everyone. The cost per session is $85. Once again this year, a share of the profits will be donated to the Vita Fund, which helps children affected by cancer.
In addition, Mauro Biello and Impact defender Cédric Joqueviel will be at the Défi de la Capitale, this Saturday, from 11 am to 1 pm to sign autographs and meet with players participating in the tournament at the Honco soccer complex site.
