Voting Begins Today for the 2008 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year

NEW YORK (Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008) - Voting for the 2008 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year kicked off today on the League's Web site - MLSnet.com. Fans may vote to determine the most remarkable goal of the 2008 regular season, choosing from 35 goals including the 31 winners of the Sierra Mist Goal of the Week and four additional nominees.

The voting breakdown follows:

1. Oct. 30 - Nov. 5 - Voting to select top 10 goals from original 35 nominees

2. Nov. 6 - Nov. 12 - Voting to select top five goals

3. Nov. 13 - Nov. 18 - Voting to select the 2008 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year from the top five goals

The Sierra Mist Goal of the Year will be announced on Nov. 19, 2008.
