Fever Hosts Shock In Playoff Opener Next Friday, September 19

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever hosts the Detroit Shock in its 2008 WNBA Playoffs opener next Friday evening, Sept. 19. Tipoff for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, broadcast live on NBATV, is 7:00 p.m.
Next weekend's best-of-three game series continues at top-seeded Detroit on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3:00 p.m. If necessary, Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 23 in Detroit (7 or 8 p.m.). Both games from Detroit will be carried live on ESPN2. The winner of the Indiana-Detroit series will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals where it will meet the winner of the Connecticut vs. New York semifinal series.
Indiana's first home playoff game is a Lucas Oil Family Night presented by The Indianapolis Star. With each ticket purchased, fans will receive a voucher redeemable for a free hot dog, chips, a soft drink and a T-shirt. A minimum purchase of four game tickets is required. It is the Fever's fourth consecutive appearance in the WNBA Playoffs, having advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the past three seasons. The Fever concludes its regular season on Sunday afternoon against the defending WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury (12:30 p.m.).
