Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce a third jersey design contest for jerseys that will be worn for the next two seasons (2008-2009 and 2009-2010).

The contest is open for fans of all ages and the designs need to be submitted to the K-Wings no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Artwork must encompass the K-Wings official PANTONE Matching System (PMS) colors (Red-186, White and Blue-281), and one of the team's logos must be somewhere on the jersey.

Fans can submit their artwork through e-mail (jcollard@kwings.com), mail, or by dropping it off at the K-Wings offices, located inside of Wings Stadium. While PDF, JPEG or TIF files are preferred, artwork can also be drawn free-hand. All artwork submitted in the contest will become the sole property of the Kalamazoo Wings.

K-Wings staff will vote on the artwork submitted and announce the top three finalists. The finalists will have their artwork displayed on www.kwings.com for one week with fans deciding the winning jersey.

The winning jersey will be unveiled and worn during the K-Wings home game on Saturday, November 15th versus the Fort Wayne Komets.

While the two finalist will receive a K-Wings gift pack, the grand prize winner will receive their very own authentic third jersey with their choice of name and number on the back (with optional team autographs), a patch on all the jerseys stating who designed the jersey, an interview on the K-Wings radio network during the game, two tickets for every home game that the K-Wings wear the 3rd jersey and they will get to drop the puck for the November 15th game versus the Komets.
