Redenbach Rejoins Sundogs for Conference Finals

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League today announced that forward Tyler Redenbach has rejoined the double-A affiliate of the National Hockey League Phoenix Coyotes in Laredo, Texas as the club prepares for Game 1 of the Southern Conference Finals.

In just 31 games with Arizona, Redenbach registered 66 points (18g/48a), 42 penalty minutes (PIM) and was plus-15. The Regina, Saskatchewan, native failed to tally a point in just one game with the Sundogs this season and collected multiple-points in 20 contests.

Redenbach was named Oakley/CHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 25, carrying Arizona to a three-game sweep of the Austin Ice Bats with three goals and five assists. A week later he was named Sher-Wood/CHL Player of the Month with five goals and 16 assists, helping the Sundogs to an 8-3-0 mark in the month of November.

The former NHL third round draft pick (77th overall) was sent on loan by NHL parent club the Coyotes to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Jan. 29. In 34 AHL games with the San Antonio Rampage and Grand Rapids, the 6-foot, 190-pound forward notched 11 points (3g/8a) and 14 PIM.

The Sundogs, in their first trip to the Southern Conference finals in just their second season in the CHL, open play against the Laredo Bucks in Game 1 on Monday at 5:05pm (Arizona time). The game can be heard live on 96.7 FM The Wolf, the Official Broadcast Home of the Arizona Sundogs.
