Ogden Raptors News Release

Now that the joy and stress of the holidays are behind us, I hope all of you have a great and prosperous 2008.

The 10% discounts for 2008 Season Tickets have now expired. Your seats are still safe but will be at the regular price. As a reminder the prices are as follows:

Section A $225.00

Section B $250.00

Section C thru G $300.00

New Sections if done on time will be $275.00

I will be calling all Season Ticket holders to confirm the keeping of your seats. If you have taken advantage of the discount, you will not be getting a call since you are already in the system.

The Lindquist Field expansion is starting to proceed. You will be seeing some demo work here very shortly. Bleacher removal is taking place now and exterior fencing will be replaced with temporary fencing next week. Final soil testing will commence and barring any problems, heavy equipment will roll in and get to work. R&O Construction is the contractor and I know they will do a great job. It may be close to the wire, but everyone is confident the work will be completed on time.

Speaking of expansion, the new Spectator Deck on top of the Left Field Building will be referred as the "Tar Pit". For a mere $500,000.00 you can have the Tar Pit naming rights for minimum of 10 years! Call me or email me if your company is interested. The Tar Pit will be a special Ticketed Section. The cost for a ticket on the Tar Pit Deck will be $20.00 per person. Don't be shocked by this for the price includes an "All You Can Eat Menu with Bottomless sodas and an "I Got Decked At Lindquist Field" T-Shirt. You a certainly have a Season Ticket but it cannot be discounted due to the food service. If you want a Season Ticket in the Tar Pit, the cost will be $760.00. Please call or email me with your interest. We took this idea from the LA Dodgers and it has proven to be a hit with the fans.

We are hoping to begin construction on the suites very soon. We are starting to sell them so please contact me if you want to schedule an appointment to see the specs and listen to the terms.

I need you help with the next topic of business. Please respond with your thoughts. As you know, the winters here make it difficult to continue hosting events here at Lindquist Field. I have come to the conclusion to use the winter instead of hating it. I will be receiving a proposal within the next few days to install a Full Size Olympic Ice Sheet right here. The idea would be to have Public Skating and Club Hockey from mid October to mid February or March. The ice would be in the left field corner going east to west. This will allow for the Tar Pit Spectator Deck to be an ideal observation area, as well as using the visiting clubhouse as a place to get warm when needed. It is a 100% turnkey operation that includes everything from ice refrigeration and skate rental. I need as many of you a possible to let me know if you think this is a good idea and whether or not the community will support it.

That's it for now, so please stay safe and keep your ideas coming!
