
WWE wrestler Rey Mysterio Jr. to wear Cougars uniform

Stockton, CA - Nov. 2, 2007 - The California Cougars, of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), announce that World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Rey Mysterio Jr. will wear a Cougars jersey during Sunday (November 4, 2007) nights main event at the Stockton Arena for the "Smackdown vs. ECW" wrestling show.
Mysterio, real name Oscar Gutierrez, is the cousin of Cougars' midfielder Eduardo Velez. Velez has given Mysterio an extra out of his own jersey collection. Mysterio will wear Velez's jersey before and during the match, then he will be given his own Cougars jersey with his name and number "619" on the jersey back. "619" is the name of Mysterio's "finishing" move.
Mysterio and Velez have kept in contact throughout the week to ensure that the jersey exchange takes place.
Mysterio will tag team with fellow wrestler "Bautista" in the main event on November 4, 2007 against "The Great Kahli" and "Finley."
