
Philadelphia Soul Introduce Strategic Advisory Board

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul announced today they have created a Soul Strategic Advisory Board (SSAB) for the 2008 season consisting of 14 prominent individuals from the Tri-State area.
The 2008 Soul Strategic Advisory Board was conceptually created to find a group of individuals who shared a passion for the Philadelphia Soul, who shared in the vision of success for Arena Football in Philadelphia and who unconditionally believed in the Philadelphia Soul franchise.
In addition, the Board would be tasked with problem solving, organizational evaluation, creative suggestions and joint implementation of changes that further enhance the Soul and the experience provided for the loyal fans of the organization.
Over the course of two months, fans were encouraged to submit an SSAB application and answer eight specific questions. The organization received more than 165 inquiries before the August 31, 2007 deadline.
On Friday, September 14, 2007, (14) individuals were selected and the 2008 Soul Strategic Advisory Board was born. The Board will meet monthly and each session will have a specific agenda attached to the meeting. The Board will contribute to successful marketing campaigns, successful season and group ticket sales, penetration of the organization within the Philadelphia market and an enhanced program for Philadelphia Soul Fan connection and experience.

The Soul are entering their fifth season in the AFL and have drawn a League best 514,226 fans combined during the past four years. Following last season, the Soul were recognized with the Commissioner's Award as the Organization of the Year and were an honorable mention for the PRISM Award in the category of fan appreciation.
