The Continental Indoor Football League is a professional developmental indoor football league designed to deliver fast-paced action-packed football. The Chicago franchise will debut in March 2007 and will join the league in its second year. The first season was played under the "Great Lakes Indoor Football League" moniker, and it was a resounding success, with over 75,000 fans watching GLIFL games in 2006.

The CIFL has created a unique style of indoor football. The 7-on-7 concept was designed to allow fans to experience the wide open feeling of 50-yard indoor football while seeing defenses have the opportunity to make plays. The CIFL was created to give players the opportunity to play professional football. For some of our players, it will be a dream come true to step on the field and play. The league also works diligently to get those players promoted to higher leagues (AFL, CFL, NFL-Europe, NFL). We know that players moving on to higher leagues (like WR/LB L.J. Parker, Grand Rapids Rampage) will improve the overall talent pool in the CIFL.

The Sears Centre will be home to the new CIFL Chicago football. It is an 11,000-seat state of the art multi-purpose family entertainment, sports and cultural center located in Hoffman Estates' IL in Prairie Stone Business Park. Located right at I-90 and Route 59.
