COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets traded their 4th round pick in the 2007 USHL Draft to the Des Moines Buccaneers for forward Donnie Hallmark (Ontario, Calif.).

The 6-foot, 200 pound Hallmark comes to Ohio after playing 38 games for the Buccaneers, scoring 2-2-4, with 115 penalty minutes and -7 +/- rating in 2005-06. He helped Des Moines win the Clark Cup Championship last season, playing in all 11 playoff games, scoring one goal and picking up 26 penalty minutes.

"I have known Donnie, having coached against him in youth hockey for about five years and he is a tremendous team guy who will give us grit and toughness," General Manager Don Harkins said in a written statement. "He is a veteran of the USHL, having played on Des Moines' Clark Cup Championship Team last season and that experience will help our team."

Hallmark did play in the 2006 Buc Bowl this last week for Des Moines. In three games, he scored only one goal, but it was a power play goal and the game-winning goal against the Junior Blue Jackets last Thursday night in the Buc Bowl opener for both teams.

Harkins said Hallmark is expected to join the team before Saturday's season opening game against the Waterloo Black Hawks.

Ohio Junior Blue Jackets individual game tickets for 2006-07 regular season home games are on sale now at Nationwide Arena, The Chiller Ice Rinks, all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers and www.BlueJackets.com.
