ABA adds team in HalifaxAugust 23, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) Press Release
The team will be owned by Andre Levingston, a person who's love of basketball began early in the streets of Detroit, Michigan. After finishing a successful high school career, he attended college and played four years of Division I basketball while earning his teaching degree. Although he loved teaching and coaching children, Andre's entrepreneurial side encouraged him to explore various business opportunities. They led to ownership of several successful companies including a limousine service, an auto detailing shop, restaurant, a media-marketing company and finally achieving his dream - owning an ABA team. "This is a great opportunity to use both my business skills in marketing, community relations, press relations with my love of basketball," said Levingston. "The ABA business model is wonderful as it incorporates the entire community and focuses where the focus should be - on youth, on families and on affordability, while producing exciting, fast-paced professional basketball and entertainment. I know Halifax well. This will be great and I can't wait to get started." For more information, telephone 416 899 9921 or email email@example.com or visit www.abalive.com. More announcements will be forthcoming.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
