ABA names two more to All-Star game

January 21, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) has named two more players to its East and West All Star teams that will play in the ABA All Star Game on Saturday, February 11th at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida. They are:

East: Chandler Thompson, 6'4" Forward from the Indiana Alley Cats and Ball State University. West: Yue Sun, 6'9" Point Guard from the Beijing Aoshen Olympian from Maywood, California and Beijing.

According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "Both of these players have helped lead their teams with outstanding play and leadership. Having a 6'9" point guard reminds many of Magic Johnson in his style of play. Yue Sun is a force to be reckoned with. And Chandler Thompson has virtually scored at will and is a tremendous rebounder for his size reminding people of Charles Barkley. Both are definitely All Stars."

The ABA will name two more All Stars on Tuesday. For more information, visit www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
