December 9, 2005 - Major Indoor Soccer League 2 (MISL 2) News Release

Westport, Conn. (Friday, December 9, 2005) - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that it has suspended John Ball of the Chicago Storm for two matches and has fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of a confrontation between the midfielder and a fan following the conclusion of the Storm's match versus the Baltimore Blast on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 1st Mariner Arena. Ball will serve his two-game suspension on Saturday, December 10 at the Philadelphia KiXX and on Sunday, December 18 at home versus the St. Louis Steamers.

"After a thorough review of the incident, I have determined that John Ball's actions were inappropriate and have decided to act accordingly," MISL Commissioner Steve Ryan stated. "Despite the actions of a fan, John's actions were inappropriate and were totally inconsistent with the professionalism and conduct that has been and will continue to be the standard for all MISL players. Thus, I feel the punishment is just and in accordance with the incident and look forward to putting this situation behind us and moving forward with the exciting 2005-06 MISL season."
