January 14, 2005 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
San Jose Stealth News Release

SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth Managing Director, General Manager and Head Coach Johnny Mouradian announced today the acquisition of forward Cam Sedgwick from Arizona in exchange for defenseman Darryl Gibson. There is also a conditional exchange of draft selections that accompanies the trade.

Last season for the Vancouver Ravens, Sedgwick posted 22 points (9 goals and 13 assists) in nine games. The six-foot, 190-pound Vancouver, British Columbia native is entering his fourth season in the National Lacrosse League. In 25 career games, Sedgwick has scored 71 points (25 goals and 46 assists).

In exchange for Sedgwick, San Jose gave up Gibson, who was acquired from Toronto in a trade on July 27, 2004. Gibson played in both of San Jose's games this season, registering one point and three loose balls.

Sedgwick works in the computer industry in Silicon Valley at a company named Business Objects. This trade is a win-win situation all the way around for him.

"I think we can do some real damage in this League with the team we have here," said Sedgwick. "It works out both for playing and working, so I'm excited to meet my new team and get things rolling."

In his first game with San Jose, Sedgwick will be playing his old team, as the Stealth travel to Arizona to take on the Sting, Friday Jan, 21 at 6:30 (PST). The following night, the team returns to HP Pavilion at San Jose to play host to the Minnesota Swarm. Tickets are still available at all ticketmaster locations, ticketmaster.com, by calling 408-999-5700 or at the HP Pavilion box office.
