(Nashua, NH) - The Nashua Pride announced today that OF Curtis Pride, who played with the team in 1999 and 2003, will once again patrol centerfield at Historic Holman Stadium in 2004, his nineteenth professional season.

A 35 year old graduate of Virginia's College of William & Mary, Pride was originally a 10th round draft pick of the New York Mets in 1986. He made his major league debut with the Montreal Expos in 1993 after hitting a combined .324 with 21 homeruns and 50 stolen bases at Harrisburg (AA) and Ottawa (AAA). He has since played for the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, and New York Yankees.

Pride hit .344 with 5 homeruns and 25 RBI in 16 games for Nashua in 2003 before being picked up by the Yankees in late May. After beginning his time with the New York organization at Columbus (AAA), he appeared in four July games for the major league team, slugging a homerun in his first at-bat against Boston.

The Nashua Pride open their 2004 home schedule on May 14th against the Somerset Patriots in a rematch of last season's Atlantic League Championship Series.
