Knoxville’s Alex Alepin is SEHL Defenseman of the Year

March 26, 2004 - South East Hockey League (SEHL)

Alex Alepin of the Knoxville Ice Bears has been named the 2003-2004 South East Hockey League Defenseman of the Year. He was selected by a vote of the SEHL head coaches; team front office personnel, and media representatives from each of the four league cities.

Alepin, a native of Montreal, Quebec, led all SEHL defensemen in goals scored with 13. Overall, the 28 year old blue liner tallied 33 points (13 goals & 20 assists) and 205 penalty minutes. Alex was named SEHL “Player of the Week” on January 28th and serves the Ice Bears as one of the club’s alternate captains.

Alex Alepin’s solid defensive play was one of the reasons the Knoxville Ice Bears finished second in the South East Hockey League and have advanced to post-season play. Alepin is in his eighth professional season.
