
Petrocelli, Johnson to Appear on NESN

Former Boston Red Sox star and local businessman RICO PETROCELLI and Nashua Pride VP/General Manager BILLY JOHNSON will be appear on the New England Cable News (NECN) 11 PM newscast this evening for an interview with sports anchor Mark Ockerbloom. The two will be promoting the 45th New Hampshire Baseball Dinner, hosted by the Pride on January 9th. PRIDE ALUMNI UPDATE
JIMMY HURST, an All-Star selection with the 2001 Pride and the Atlantic League MVP in Newark this past season, has secured a non-roster invitation to the Kansas City Royals spring training camp.
FELIX JOSE ('98 Pride) is leading the Dominican Winter League with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs as a member of EST.
JAMES LOFTON, a hero of the 2000 Pride championship team, split the 2002 season between Pawtucket and Trenton of the Red Sox organization. This winter he is starting at second base for Mochis of the Mexican Pacific League.
Ex-Pride pitcher KEN JUARBE ('99) is with Santurce of the Puerto Rican League.
JOSE MALAVE is back in the Venezuelan League this winter with Oriente. He is hitting .205 through last week's action.
Catcher DAMIAN SAPP (Pride '01) remains on the double-A roster of the Cincinnati Reds with their Chattanooga (TN) Lookouts affiliate.
