Former Cajun Picked to Lead Cane Cutter's Pitching Staff

November 21, 2016 - Former Ragin Cajun pitcher, Joey Satriano, has been tapped to lead the Cane Cutter pitching staff for the 2017 season. Satriano, from Houston, pitched for McLennan Community College before joining the Cajuns for the 2010 and 2011 season. While at ULL, Satriano made 24 appearances in both his junior and senior season. November 7, 2016 - Former Acadiana High School Wrecking Ram, Luke Montz will lead the Acadiana Cane Cutters for the 2017 season in the Texas Collegiate League (TCL) as they try to improve on their second place finish in the 2016 season. Montz, drafted in the 17th round in the 2003 amateur draft, played with the Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Florida Marlins, Oakland Athletics and finished his professional career with the Boston Red Sox in 2015. August 13, 2016 - Tonight's Cane Cutters at Brazos Valley Bombers 2016 TCL Championship game has been suspended from Nutrabolt Stadium due to inclement weather. The game will resume tomorrow in the 2nd inning at a high school turf stadium nearby at 3:05pm. It's a scoreless contest between the two teams. You can watch and listen on our U-Stream channel. August 10, 2016 - The Acadiana Cane Cutters got another fine pitching performance from WIlmer Nunez and timely hitting from Trey Jimmerson to help shutout the Woodlands Strykers, 4-0 on a warm Louisiana night at Fabacher Field. It was a good old fashion pitching duel between Wilmer Nunez of the Cutters and Kyle Porter of the Strykers.
