Cane Cutters Adding Chandler-Gilbert CC Freshmen Pitcher

April 20, 2016 - The 2016 Cane Cutters will be adding freshmen pitcher Zack Hardy from Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Hardy, a freshman at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, was a three-year letterwinner at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Arizona. In high school he posted a 2.97 ERA in 61.1 innings with 35 total strike outs. Hardy is studying business and communications. Cane Cutters Add UNO Pitcher to 2016 Squad

April 18, 2016 - The 2016 Cane Cutters will have Jared Taylor returning from the University of New Orleans to pitch for Acadiana this summer. Taylor, a sophomore pitcher, appeared in 20 games as a freshman with a 5.18 ERA and recorded 16 strikeouts in 33 innings. Taylor lettered all four years in baseball at Vidor High School in Vidor, Texas. In 2014, he garnered an All-District first-team selection and Super Gold Team honorable mention. RiverKings Win, Sweep IceGators

April 14, 2016 - LAFAYETTE, La. - The Louisiana IceGators' playoff run ended as quickly as it began. The Mississippi RiverKings came into the Cajundome and scored the first four goals of the night en route to a 5-2 win over the IceGators and a two-game sweep in the SPHL President's Cup Quarterfinals. April 13, 2016 - SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Louisiana IceGators stumbled out of the gate to open the SPHL Playoffs. Despite jumping out to a 1-0 lead early in the contest, the Mississippi RiverKings responded by scoring three straight goals en route to a 5-3 win in the first game of the SPHL Quarterfinals.
