Minot Minotauros News Release

Minot, ND - The Minotauros and Wings meet tonight in the first of two make up games from October, when snow prevented the Wings from making it to the Maysa Arena. Tuesday's game is rescheduled from October 11th, tickets from that game will be valid for tonight's contest.

The Tauros and Wing both enter the evening off of splits of weekend sets, the Tauros with the Wilderness and the Wings with the Bobcats. The Wings last loss prior to the weekend split was at the Maysa on November 11th, since then the Wings had gone 14-0-1. The Tauros meanwhile went 8-6-1 in the 15 games between that win over Aberdeen and last weekend.

The Tauros and Wings have split the season set through the first four meetings. Riley Murphy leads all scorers in the season series with two goals and three assists for five points. Jay Buchholz (2g 2a) and Cole O'Connell (1g 3a) are tied for second with four points each.

In goal the Wings have had Henry Welsch and former Tauro Jake Sibell have split time for Aberdeen both against the Tauros and overall for the season. For the Tauros Ben Garrity has three of the four starts against Aberdeen and A.J. Ruskowski has one. Welsch has the best numbers of the four goaltenders through the four games with a 1.60 GAA and .949 SV%; Ruskowski is second with a 2.37 GAA and .938 SV%.

Tickets for the game are still available through the "Tickets" tab atop this page. Doors open at 6:05 p.m. for a 7:05 puck drop.
