Lewis Returns To Manchester

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned forward Trevor Lewis to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Lewis, 21, the Kings' first round draft choice (17th overall after the Kings drafted goaltender Jonathan Bernier 11th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, has played in six games with the Kings this season, recording three points (1-2=3) and zero penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 204-pounder from Salt Lake City made his Kings/NHL debut at Buffalo on December 19, and he collected his first career Kings/NHL goal at Detroit on December 20.

In 28 games with Manchester this season, Lewis has 19 points (8-11=19) and 18 penalty minutes, and his 19 points were tied for the team lead at the time of his recall to the Kings on December 18.
