Storm Add Two to Roster

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired defensive back Rod Issac and wide receiver Justin Hilton, announced vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.

"Both Rod and Justin bring much needed depth to our team," said Gooch. "They have NFL experience, and are a welcome addition to the Storm."

Issac (5-foot-11, 195 lbs., Middle Tennessee) began his professional football career in 2011 having been selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fifth round (147th pick) of the 2011 NFL Entry Draft.

In college, the Miami, FL native appeared in 46 games with the Blue Raiders with 37 starts and earned All-Sun Belt honors his senior season. He recorded 189 tackles, including 12 for a loss, nine passes defended, five interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Hilton (6-foot-2, 195 lbs., Indiana St.) started in 22 games for the Sycamores. He hauled in 72 passes for 1,224 yards and eleven touchdowns. Hilton began his collegiate career with Butte College (Oroville, CA), catching 25 passes for 620 yards and eight touchdowns, helping his team win the 2008 National Junior College Championship.

The Kissimmee, FL native began his professional career with the Cincinnati Bengals (NFL) having signed with the team in 2012 as an undrafted rookie free agent. He spent part of the 2013 offseason with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL).

The Storm has reassigned defensive lineman Claude Davis, and placed defensive back Jean Fanor on recallable reassignment.
