
Detroit Thunder Rolls Into CIFL

Detroit, MI -- The Continental Indoor Football League is proud to announce the expansion Detroit Thunder franchise will join the CIFL for the 2013 season.
"We are honored to bring Indoor Football back to the Metro Detroit area and look forward to building a solid foundation and fan base," said Majority Owners Dave and Cynthia Kinsman.
The Thunder will don the colors of gold, white and navy blue as they begin quest to claim victory of the Michigan Cup. The cup will be up for grabs this season as interstate rival Patriots and the Saginaw Sting will square off in head-to-head match-ups during the 2013 CIFL regular season.
More information will be made available in the upcoming weeks and will include the unveiling of the new logo and team website.
"We are grateful for this opportunity to represent the CIFL in the largest Football City in the state of Michigan," Dave and Cynthia said, "We are committed to our coaches, players, fans, and businesses we partner with in 2013 and beyond." The Thunder will kick off their inaugural season February 9th.
